The Fletcher Class was a built by the United States during World War II and went on to serve not only during that war, but in Korea and Vietnam as well. The Fletchers, capable of 38 knots, were armed with five 5″ guns and 10 21″ torpedos. A total of 175 Fletchers were built during World War II.
