Collecting Postage Stamps is a delightful hobby for children. It gives them a grasp on Geography as they get to know the countries of the world. It provides an insight into current affairs as stamps are issued commemorating an event or special day in history. History is constantly being made. As Social Media makes greater inroads into our lives and written post sadly becomes less and less, the scarcity of stamps should drive up their value. Hopefully the world of Philately will remain with us for some time and children the world over will experience the fascination of collecting these colorful little gems.
This is simply an album into which children can affix their stamps as they collect them. This basic album “book” is set up to collect by Country. It would make a lovely gift for a young child who is just starting out on stamp collecting. Every fourth page allows for those unusually shaped stamps that so fascinate the younger mind. Page 1 and 2 in each “set” is for the regular daily type stamps, page 3 for the larger ones.
